Last year, I have accomplished my dream of going to Europe.  I stayed for 10 days in the United Kingdom. It should have been for 90days traveling around the country but fear won over me. I felt that I am still not financially independent because of the current lifestyle that I have. My savings won’t catch up with my spending on food and shopping. So, in the end, I retracted my resignation letter. I should be back to work after the 10days vacation in Europe.

Did that happen to you? You had the courage to let go of things but in the end, Fear won over you. I am setting up some businesses related to my travel blog/vlog so I could finally be financially independent and travel the world. I hope you could support by sending some help or buying some cool stuffs on my online store. For more info, here is the link on ways you can do business with travellingpeoples: https://travellingpeoples.com/2018/11/18/do-business-with-travellingpeoples/

I really believe that if I become more financially independent, I can inspire more people like me. I am giving myself 2 more years to finally go back to the United Kingdom and travel all around the country for 90 days. Here are the places I could have visited and reasons why I would love to visit them. These are arranged based on their proximity to the next location or accessibility to train stations. If you are from the United Kingdom and think that I might have overlooked facts on the locations proximity and its nearby hotels, please leave a comment in this blog.

  1. Wonderful planning. I hope you fulfil all your travelling dreams. But a staycation is a term used for people staying at home for their holiday. It does not mean hotel or other accommodation.

    1. Hi Basia, thank you so much.. In our country, we mean by it ‘staying to enjoy the perks of your hotel accommodation’ for example, if you google staycation or hotel staycation many accommodations will appear.. Thank you so much. There is still a bit of a difference of perspective in every culture. See you soon. <3

  2. If you got a good airbnb in London you could manage some of those places on a day trip from there. Don’t book up before you look into this. In Coventry, make sure to visit the Cathedral and nearby Warwick Castle (you could even visit the Bronte Museum from here. You’ve missed out The Europa Hotel in Belfast, famous for being the most bombed hotel in the world (and a great place to stay being very central, lovely staff and right opposite the Crown Liquor Saloon, Belfast’s most famous pub).

  3. I sold my active business when I got addicted to traveling the world. I can’t stop adding countries to my collection. Been all over the UK it is a great place start.

  4. I love how in depth you want to travel UK!! I hope it is safer soon so you can visit. I am living in Oxford and there is so much history here, it’s an incredible city.
If you are interested in literature it is especially amazing, I work at a hotel where Oscar Wilde once lived.
You should add Newcastle onto our list too, it is definitely worth experiencing.

  5. Somebody has mentioned it above but Newcastle should definitely be on the list as well. It is a terrific party city but is also steeped in history. Did you know that Mosley Street in Newcastle was the first street in the world to be lit by electric lighting? Or that the High Level Bridge was the first in the world built on two levels with trains going above and a road for cars and pedestrians below? It’s a great city to visit and has a fantastic nightlife. Not too far away is the Roman Wall built by Emperor Hadrian. It stretches from Newcastle in the East and finishes at Carlisle in the West. There are some lovely places to visit along the way. As you might have guessed I’m from Newcastle. It is a great city to visit though and has a fantastic nightlife!
If you like Jane Austen you can also visit her museum in Bath. Many of her books were based there and you can even visit some of the places that are mentioned in them

      1. India is a beautiful country. I’ve been there last 2016 but on a guided trip.. where are you exactly in India? ❤️

  6. Old Trafford rather than the Etihad Stadium, surely 🙂 ?!

If you want to see the Bronte Parsonage Museum, it might be nicer to stay somewhere in the countryside – nothing against Bradford, but the moorland around there’s lovely.

  7. That’s an ambitious itinerary you have there. I’m not sure how long your visit will be and what your interests are, but it’s certainly a varied list.

It would be easy for me to suggest places to add to the list and places to take away, but that would also take away the enjoyment of finding out about places for yourself. Enjoy your trip when it happens. Have you been to the UK before by the way?

    1. Hi Easymalc, as a Filipino we can be given a visa for 90days. Yes, I have been in the UK last year.. I did some blogs about the Stone Henge and UK’s museums. Please tell me other places to explore.. 🙂

      1. Can you give me the links to your Stonehenge and Museum blogs please. I’d like to see what sort of things you enjoy and maybe give you some other ideas about where to go.

  8. Hi Easymalc, as a Filipino we can be given a visa for 90days. Yes, I have been in the UK last year.. I did some blogs about the Stone Henge and UK’s museums. Please tell me other places to explore.. 🙂

  9. I’ve looked at you post in more detail now and if I’ve got this right you want to spend 90 days travelling around the UK in a couple of years time. If that’s the case, then at least you have plenty of time to prepare.

It sounds that you are only intending to visit places that you can reach by train, but there is also a comprehensive bus network if you want to see places that can be easily reached from a train station. For now I’ll add some places to the list that have train stations, but if you don’t mind using buses as well, I can give more suggestions later if you wish.

Here are some places that I think you might enjoy if they fit in with your plans; –

    Brighton
    Portsmouth
    Winchester
    St Ives
    Bristol
    St Albans
    Worcester
    Norwich
    Chepstow
    Shrewsbury
    Lincoln
    York
    Harrogate
    Whitby
    Newcastle
    Berwick upon Tweed
    Stirling
    Oban

There are a fair number of places on the list, and not all them might appeal possibly, but I’ve made the selection based on the ease of communications, with what I think you might like – and of course, you may have already been to some of them.

It also goes without saying that if you were able to drive, then there would be so much more scope, particulary if you like out of the way places that Wales and Scotland can offer. N. Ireland also some fabulous coastline, but you would benefit from having a car there as well. Hope this helps

    Easymalc

    1. Thank you thank you so much. This is a bit comprehensive and I really appreciate the time. I don’t know how to drive but I can definitely try the bus too. I hope to see you in UK. ❤️❤️❤️

    1. I would love to go to Edinburgh next time and check out too the palaces of the British royals.. Where are you now based?

  10. I was in England many years ago and would love to go again. What I remember about Coventry was the cathedral that had been bombed in WWII. I remember reading the words “Father, forgive” on the wall behind the altar and the “Cross of Nails,” a symbol of peace and reconciliation.

    P.S. Where do you live?

    1. This is nice observation you have… I am currently in the Philippines. Where are you based now?

  11. Thank you Saania, let us keep in touch, your blogs are very philosophical and I loved reading them.. You are probably an intelligent person <3 Keep safe this COVID season! :)

  12. An interesting list of places – but you really need to spend more time In Scotland – not only Edinburgh and Glasgow (which yes, you must visit). You’d have time to visit some of the islands as well if you are here for 90 days.

  13. If you are visiting Liverpool may I suggest that it is not far to Caernarvon in N. Wales (with a great castle that you can visit) and across the Straits in Llanfair PG where the longest railway station name in the world is located,, plus crossing the Menai Straits to get there will give you spectacular views.

  14. I love your site. My thanks for sharing such a good post. I was looking for thoughts on this topic last Thursday. I will come back to read more and inform my coworkers about your site. Do you know “Mexican Food Crevel Europe” is most selling food in COVID-19. If you don’t, then search for it.

    1. Thank you so much Crevel Europe.. Your comment really means a lot.. please please we would definitely appreciate you sharing this blog to your sphere of influence.. And about Food Crevel.. we would definitely love if you can pick us as one of your brand ambassadors ❤️❤️❤️

    1. Thank you for the suggestion Alexa! Google says it is a legendary pub so we will definitely try that. And we hope to see you 😇🥇
