This number continues to increase due to the growing apetite of 11 million plus Bangkok residents and 35 million plus tourists looking for diverse, authentic, and world-class gastronomic experiences in Bangkok. We are enlisting some of the interesting cafes and restaurants we have visited or taken note in our bucket list. Please let us know if some of your favorites are not yet here. 1.) Restaurant Potong

Restaurant Potong is a progressive Thai-Chinese restaurant led by Celebrity Chef Pam Pichaya Soontornyanakij. The whole 20-course dining experience includes immersing yourself with sentimental and interesting stories, sustainable recipes, aesthetic food presentation, customer-centric service and world-class wine selections. 2.) Khao

Location: 110 Wireless Road Lumpini Pathumwan, Bangkok Thailand 10330

Khao is undoubtedly worthy of a Michelin star and other world-class recognitions. Dining in their elegant and cozy restaurants (either in Ekkamai branch or Wireless Road branch) lets you experience authentic Thai cuisine at its finest. The staffs are also well-trained for world-class customer service. Some of the dishes that we savored during our visit are Yum Som O (Pomelo Salad), Massaman Nong Kae (Lamb Shank in Massaman Curry), Pad Phrik Khing Pla Duk Fu (Stir-fried Crispy Fluffy Catfish with Red Curry Paste), Khai Jiew (Crab Omelet), and Sungkhaya Namtarn Mai Lae Waanyen Som Sainamphung (Caramelized Thai Custard and Mandarin Sorbet). Lelawadee Restaurant in Movenpick Bangkok Sukhumvit 15 offers a delightful culinary experience that goes beyond just dining. During our visit, we had the pleasure of indulging in their sumptuous breakfast buffet, treating ourselves to the irresistible chocolate hour, and savoring delectable ala carte Thai meals such as Miang Kham, Som Tum, and Thai Basil Pork Belly. What truly sets this establishment apart is the captivating ambience, which adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. 4.) Moxy Bar & Restaurant

Moxy Bar & Restaurant of Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong offers a delightful culinary experience that extends beyond their renowned breakfast buffet. During our visit, we had the pleasure of sampling their enticing ala carte menu, which left a lasting impression. The innovative dishes showcased the chef’s creativity and culinary prowess, with each bite telling a story of flavors and textures. One standout dish, the “Oops! Oh Belly,” featured a delightful combination of fried seabass fin complemented by a spicy ice-plant salad and a delicate dried shrimp crumble, creating a symphony of tastes that delighted the palate. Another memorable creation was the “Roller Coaster,” a true culinary adventure consisting of perfectly cooked Fettucini aglio, infused with garlic, chili, and basil, topped with a succulent grilled picanha steak and accompanied by a flavorful galanga dip. These culinary creations not only satisfied our appetites but also showcased the restaurant’s commitment to offering unique and unforgettable dining experiences.

7.) The Gallery Kitchen

8.) Next2Cafe

Location: Shangri-la Bangkok, 89 Soi Wat Suan Plu, New Road, Bangrak, Bangkok

As this restaurant consistently attracts a loyal crowd from the hotel, we can explore the opportunity to enjoy dining here. Our family members’ allegiance to the Shangri-la brand provides a compelling reason to include this restaurant in our plans. 9.) Suppaniga Dinner Cruise

Location: (currently still closed after the pandemic)

     One of the unforgettable dining experience was to explore the charm of the Chao Phraya River while enjoying the warmth of a 6-course home cooked Thai meal through  Suppaniga Cruise. This is the best way to be introduced to the Capital City of Thailand. It is so interesting to find out that Chao Phraya River is the grand entrance of royalties during ancient times, thus it is also known as ‘River of Kings’. Some of the best sellers that we tried are Amuse Bouche, Mahor, Kratong Tong, Khao Krieb Nahm Jim, Tom Kha Pla Kapong Mapraow-On, Sam Rub Thai and Mango Sticky Rice. 10.) View Rooftop Bar Novotel Platinum

Location: 9th Floor, Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam, 220 Petchaburi Road, Ratchathewi Bangkok, Thailand 10400

View Rooftop Bar Bangkok offers unparalleled views of the Bangkok Skyline while enjoying delectable dishes and cocktails in a relaxed beach club set up. Some of the best sellers that we tried are Margarita Sassy Cousin, Jarhead,Krapaow Pork Pizza Flatbread,Signature Thick Cut French Fries,View Bangkok Nachos, View Bangkok Burger, and Mango Sticky Rice. 11.) Eatery and Bar at Sala Rattanakosin

Location: 39 Maha Rat Rd, Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand

Dine with the majestic view of Wat Arun while enjoying your breakfast. Some of the best sellers that we tried are Thai Wok Omelette with Blue Crab served with stir-fried morning glory and steamed Jasmine Rice, American breakfast with variety of breads and jams with bacon and eggs. 12.) FARANG Italian Thai Fusion Restaurant

Location: (currently moving to a different Bangkok location)

The princess of Thailand once did the ribbon cutting for this restaurant. Some of their best sellers are pastas, pizzas and mains served with mash potato and vegetable. (Swipe below photo for more pictures).

13.) HoneyHouse Thai Cuisine

Location: 6, 3-4 Sukhumvit Alley 22, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand

Honeyhouse Thai Cuisine is a hidden gem in Sukhumvit 22. One of our top favorites would be their fried rice, Thai-inspired fish cuisines and fried noodles.

14.) Yayoi Japanese Restaurant

Location: 191 Si Lom, Silom, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand

This restaurant is famous on serving “Teishoku” – a very simple yet well-balanced set meal which is served on a tray with a combination of steamed rice, miso soup, a main dish of your choice, vegetable and pickles.

15.) Next2Cafe

Location: Shangri-la Bangkok, 89 Soi Wat Suan Plu, New Road, Bangrak, Bangkok

As this restaurant gets always fully crowded because of loyal guests from its hotel, this is not our favorite restaurant. We are including this restaurant though because some of our family members are loyal to the Shangri-la brand. (Swipe below photo for more pictures)
