Liz and I resided in Quezon City for nearly 13 years before embarking on a new chapter in the province of Laguna. Quezon City held a special place in our hearts due to its sentimental significance and vibrant urban atmosphere. As newly-weds, we were thrilled to explore the renowned Dapitan Arcade, known for its delightful array of artistic home decors, kitchen and table wares, charming lamps, and so much more. The bustling energy of Gateway Mall makes it a popular choice for both locals and visitors, offering a diverse selection of stores and exciting events. On the other hand, Eastwood Mall boasts a vibrant atmosphere with a mix of high-end and boutique shops, along with a variety of delicious restaurants and entertainment venues. 7.) Photoshoot in one of the biggest Chandelier Stores in the Philippines

This unexpected visit to a chandelier store near Katipunan turned out to be quite an enlightening experience. As we strolled through the dazzling displays of crystal and light, we were captivated by the elegant designs and timeless beauty of the chandeliers. Despite the initial setback of the photography restriction, we were able to appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship of the chandeliers in person, allowing us to soak in the splendor of the store’s signature pieces. It was an eye-opening reminder that some of the most remarkable experiences cannot be fully captured through a lens, and the memories remain vivid and treasured in our minds. Our impromptu visit, though initially sparked by curiosity, turned into a delightful exploration of the art and culture of Quezon City, leaving us with a newfound appreciation for the hidden gems nestled within its vibrant streets. Art in Island, the first and largest mixed media art museum in the Philippines, is a true gem for art enthusiasts. Some of the top universities in Quezon City has been ranked among the top 1000 universities around the world. Some of them are University of the Philippines Diliman and Ateneo de Manila University. I was fortunate to complete my Master’s degree from the University of the Philippines while the sunflowers are in bloom.

10.) Visit Famous Shrines

Some of the famous shrines in the Philippines are found in Quezon City such as The EDSA Shrine and St. Joseph Shrine Diocese of Cuba. The bronze statue in the EDSA Shrine also known as the Queen of Peace is symbolic to the miraculous ousting of the dictatorship in a peaceful and bloodless uprising that is now world renowned as the People Power Revolution of 1986. (Swipe below photo for more pictures)
