Cravings and appetites tend to spread, especially when embarking on a fun-filled adventure while traveling. It was no surprise that we found ourselves hungry quite frequently. Throughout our trip to Cabanatuan, we made sure to explore the local food scene, and it certainly lived up to our expectations. Here are our top restaurants in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija in no particular order.
1.) Mamay’s
Mamay’s Restobar creates a tranquil and nostalgic ambiance through its layout, which includes nipa huts for dining and a bonsai garden, contributing a soothing and inviting vibe. Their menu showcases genuine dishes, notably their renowned Crispy Tenga (pig ears) and our personal favorite, the Seafood Kare-Kare, teeming with an array of seafood such as crab, squid, mussels, and more. We also tried their crispy liempo and pinakbet which were a perfect combination together. (Swipe below photo for more pictures)
2.) Rosey Cafe
Appreciate art while having your meals. Rosey Cafe, nestled within Rosey Hotel, offers breakfast options perfectly tailored to suit the Filipino palate. Their breakfast meals are complemented by a delightful and incredibly tasty pineapple quencher, adding a refreshing touch to the dining experience. At Top Star Cafe, located within Top Star Hotel, guests can savor a choice between American and Filipino breakfast options. We opted for their Filipino Silog meals and were thoroughly impressed by their quality. Coupled with their offer of unlimited coffee, our breakfast turned into a delightful and satisfying experience.
