We can think of top 3 characteristics we have observed about the people of Mataas na Kahoy. First, they are accommodating to tourists like us. We have never had any issues approaching them for any concerns. Second, they are willing to help as much as they can. We were having difficulty looking for a tricycle back to our accommodation as it was already past 8pm. A senior citizen checked on his neighbors if they can bring us on our destination. One lad offered us a ride back to our airbnb. Third, they love nature. They make sure that Mataasnakahoy maintains its wonderful natural beauty. (Swipe below photo for more pictures)

Why is it called Mataas na Kahoy?
Hi, thank you for reading the blog. Mataas na Kahoy means High Tree in English. I think the name is very relevant because it is a town on a hilltop with high trees 😇❤️❤️
