11 Discoveries on my first Philippine Airlines New York-Manila Flight (PR127)

Off to finally be home again. The total journey would be 16 hours, a considerable amount of time to reflect on my first experience flying via PR127 New York-Manila route. As I settled into my seat, I couldn’t help but marvel at the breathtaking view of the cityscape beneath me as the aircraft soared into the horizon. I got a free 20USD voucher I can use in any restaurants in JFK Airport Terminal I because my flight with Philippine Airlines, flight PR127 to Manila, got delayed for over six hours due to technical issues with the aircraft. It was quite an unexpected and inconvenient situation, but the airline staff were very helpful and offered the vouchers as a gesture of goodwill. With the voucher, I explored the various dining options in Terminal 1, indulging in a delicious meal while waiting for the rescheduled flight. The unexpected delay turned into a chance to savor some of the diverse culinary offerings at the airport, turning a frustrating situation into a more enjoyable experience overall.

I have the feeling that this aircraft PR127 was just newly bought. There are not many scratches on anything. The pristine condition of the aircraft suggests that it may have recently undergone a thorough maintenance check. Additionally, the interiors appear to be in impeccable condition, exuding a sense of freshness and meticulous care. Furthermore, the lack of wear and tear on the upholstery and interior fittings implies that the aircraft has been well-maintained and cared for by its staff. PAL blankets are indeed a welcome sight, especially when traveling long distances.         PAL reflects the heart of the Filipino. You will feel the unique warmth and hospitality of the Filipinos through its cabin crews. It is nice that on my flight to Manila, majority of the passengers are Filipinos. Because they haven’t been in the Philippines for a while, when we landed in Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1, all had a nice shout and clap of joy!
