Long before Las Vegas , Nevada became the place for gambling and entertainment , Atlantic City was the place to be seen and gamble. Atlantic City had performers like Frank Sinatra who performed as well as being the home for the famous beauty pageant, the Miss America Pageant, which takes place every September . In late July of 2018, I took a trip there . I hadn’t been there in four years. Atlantic City , or “AC” as most of us here on the east coast of the United States call it, is 2-3 hours away from Philadelphia and New York City , so there’s no need to take a plane five hours to Las Vegas . You just need to get a bus which stops either at the Atlantic City Transportation Center or one of the casino hotels, some of which have branches in Las Vegas . If you go to Atlantic City , here are the 7 things that you can do.
1. TAKE A WALK ON THE ATLANTIC CITY BOARDWALK

2. GAMBLE

3. EAT

4. VISITING THE STEEL PIER

5. EXPLORING THE CASINO HOTELS
This city doesn’t have as many casino hotels like Las Vegas , but the new hotels like the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino , which just opened in June of this year , puts the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas in my rank of best hotels.

6. TAKE A DIP IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN
Look outside your hotel window. That’s not any old beach in front of you, that’s the Atlantic Ocean . They advise against swimming in it, but just take a dip in it.
7. SOUVENIRS
This goes without saying. Get your souvenirs from one of the many vendors on the Boardwalk , not your hotel. They’ll be a lot cheaper .

I’m sure that I’m leaving out something , but if you do go to Atlantic City , and if you’re in or visiting New York City or Philadelphia, take a side trip to Atlantic City .
If you buy the “Casino Package ” from Greyhound bus company you’ll even get a voucher for free slot play.
When I saw the title, number 2 immediately came to mind even though I have never been to Atlantic City 🙂
let us know once you visited the place..
And there’s a beautiful beach that you can sit on. So go in the summer.
thank you for the suggestion!
