8 Items We Love in our Novotel Manila Araneta Center Staycation

     We live near Araneta Center, Cubao. It has been a wonder what   the experience would be in this newly developed 4-star hotel. Our 3-star staycation hotel last month was a mess. So, we thought of upgrading our lifestyle for  one more star.

     Here are the 8 Items we love in our Novotel Manila Araneta Center Staycation:

1.) Food Exchange Manila

     Food Exchange Manila is the buffet restaurant of Novotel Manila Araneta Center. We tried it during breakfast. They have a lot of food on offer- Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Indian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, American, etc.

     We liked the most their— 1.) bacon- which we added as toppings on our three slices of thin crust basil pizza; 2.) Korean noodles; 3.) and fresh fruit juices.

     Too bad we already had coffee when we knew that they are also serving fresh Chai Latte (made with spices, not a tea bag)

2.) The 6th Pool Bar and Lounge

     Binibining Pilipinas candidates since 2014 had their photo shoots in this location. My girlfriend, an aspiring candidate, requested me to take her photos in swimsuit during our staycation.

3.) The Bridal Garden

    We are not yet married. We may consider this Bridal Garden as a venue for our future wedding. We just wonder how much it would cost.

    At daylight, the flowers and shrubs in this garden make you forget that you are situated in the concrete jungle of Cubao. At night, you may imagine that you are in the tunnel of lights.

4.) See-through Shower Space

    Who wants to dance sexy– and be seen by your lover? Our room 1713 has an amazing design. A see-through shower space!

5.) Conferences Held 

    We have attended two conferences held in the Monet room of Novotel Araneta Center. First was the 2017 Asia-Pacific Rim Universities Program Conference attended by many foreign students and health professionals. Some of them are our Facebook friends already such as Ms. Sarah Rooke from the University of South Wales. Second was the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange Students and Youths (JENESYS) Alumni Mini-reunion. We were the first batch of Filipino youth who visited Japan under the program. We are very grateful that after a decade the Japanese Government sponsored this kind of event.

6.) Workdesk

We have fast wifi and comfortable space to do our tasks!

7.) Binibining Pilipinas Candidates

    We wonder if the bathrobe in our closet was worn by one of the Binibining Pilipinas candidates. The 2018 candidates are in the hotel when we did our staycation. You probably still have the chance to see them there if you check-in before March 18. Our favorite would be Candidate no. 4 Ms. Ana Patricia Asturias who warmly hosted us in her cafe when we did our Tacloban trip.

8.) Araneta Center Sunset

    We love watching sunsets from different places. Watching the sunset from our hotel room gives us an additional perspective of the Philippines.

        To end, we hope we could go back. We can try other stuffs like the lunch buffet or dinner buffet of the Food Exchange Manila, pool parties in the 6th Pool Bar and Lounge, candle light dinner near the Bridal Garden, their signature spa massage, or watching the sunrise from other rooms.
