1.) Try some Gastronomic Spots
Food has a way of revealing the soul of a place, and Mill Park did not disappoint. One of the highlights was when we met a friend named Regina, who kindly brought us to Ramen and Dumpling House along Child Roads. It turned out to be one of those unexpected finds we instantly fell in love with—comforting bowls of ramen, well-made dumplings, and the kind of place that locals proudly recommend. 2.) Go to Church and Experience Mill Park’s Spiritual Side
As Catholics, we attended Mass at St. Francis of Assisi in Mill Park—a familiar and grounding experience that feels very much like home. The church is welcoming and community-centred, a place of quiet prayer and reflection. We also had the opportunity to visit an Orthodox church nearby, the Macedonian Orthodox Church dedicated to St. Petka. Although we didn’t take photos inside out of respect, the atmosphere alone left a strong impression. The architecture felt more traditional and solemn, with a deep sense of history and reverence. While different in expression, both churches offered a shared spirit of faith, reminding us that devotion transcends style, language, and tradition. (Swipe below photo for more pictures)
3.) Mill Park Library
One stop we truly enjoyed was Mill Park Library. Even from the outside, the architecture already stands out, inviting you in with its clean lines and modern design. Once inside, the high ceilings create a spacious and calming atmosphere that instantly makes you want to slow down. We spent time here simply chilling—reading books, making use of the free Wi-Fi, and catching up on some of our remote tasks. It’s the kind of place that lets you rest and be productive at the same time, making it a meaningful stop while exploring Mill Park. (Swipe below photo for more pictures)
