9.) Yellow Doors Hostel (Business closed)
Yellow Doors Hostel has been my first hotel in Tacloban City. I was amazed that there was a hostel in Tacloban City which can give tourists more options especially if you are on a budget. The vibrant atmosphere of the hostel, combined with its friendly staff and engaging community, made my stay memorable. I remember enjoying unique experiences like sharing stories with fellow travelers in the common area and exploring the fascinating local culture together. Unfortunately, although my lifestyle has significantly upgraded, it is sad to know that this hostel has already closed. It’s disheartening for budget travelers who now have fewer affordable options to experience the beauty of Tacloban. The closure of such a welcoming place feels like a loss to both the local community and visitors who cherished the warmth and camaraderie it provided.
