Posted by Many people are still unsure if they would love to visit Apayao because of the hearsays about the vibe about the locals residing on this province. Some people claim that some of the locals are still practicing their tribal beliefs. Because of those hearsays, I also got scared on immersing fully within the province of Apayao. I decided to just take a picture of the Apayao Provincial Arch and spend just few minutes within its jurisdiction.
1.) Tuguegarao City Terminal
My journey commenced at Tuguegarao City Terminal in Cagayan Province, which is adjacent to Apayao Province. Beginning from there, I boarded a bus bound for Ilocos Norte, with a scheduled stop in Abulug, Cagayan. Abulug is the neighboring town of Luna, Apayao.
2.) Drop Off would be near Abulug Public Market
The bus has a stop at Abulug Public Market, where you will find numerous tricycle drivers available to take you to the Apayao Provincial Arch.
3.) Have lunch first for courage
As I was apprehensive about the rumors, I opted to first satiate my hunger at Cuisina Trinidad. The cuisine here is exceptional. (Swipe below photo to see the food)
4.) Apayao Province
After that, I never thought that it would be as easy as that. I stayed within the arch for 5 minutes then rode the tricycle again back to the town of Abulug.
