Liz and I have been Quezon City residents for almost 13 years before starting a new life in the province of Laguna. Quezon City has been one of our favorite cities because of its sentimental significance and wonderful city vibe. If you are staying in this city, here are our top recommended things to do when in Quezon City. (Note: We will update this blog from time to time to add more!)
1.) Hotel Staycations
Quezon City has a lot of hotel rooms to offer (varying from 2 stars to 5 stars rating). Some of our top favorites would be Eastwood Richmonde Hotel and Novotel Manila Araneta Center. Read our blog here.
2.) Gastronomic Experience from Quezon City’s Restaurants
By estimate, there are more than 2000 plus food establishments operating in Quezon City. As tourists ourselves who frequent Quezon City almost every month, we are enlisting some of the best cafes/ restaurants we have tried. Some of our favorites would be the Eastwood Cafe + Bar and Food Exchange Manila. Read our blog here.
3.) Pamper Yourselves in one of the top beauty clinics in the city
Quezon City has been one of our one stop shop for beauty procedures such as facial, gluta drip, microneedling, laser hair removal, mesolift, thermalift, mesolipo, cavitation, thermasculpt, mesosculpt and many more. We always book a service through Skin Benefits Dermatology Clinic near Don Antonio Heights. For inquiries, you may DM them on their facebook or instagram or email email@example.com or call +63 923 528 2772

6.) Indoor Shopping
With the scorching heat at noon time, strolling around airconditioned shopping malls is a trend in Quezon City. Some of our favorite shopping malls would be Gateway Mall Araneta Center and Eastwood Mall. (Swipe below photo for more pictures)
7.) Photoshoot in one of the biggest Chandelier Stores in the Philippines
This was a random visit to one of the chandelier stores located near Katipunan. Little did we know that there was actually a signage that No Photography is allowed. You have to pay a certain fee and get a permit from the business owner first. It was one of the best instagrammable encounters that we have for Quezon City. (Swipe below photo for more pictures)
8.) Have fun at Art in Island
The first and largest mixed media art museum in the Philippines is located in Quezon City. (Swipe below photo for more pictures)
9.) Study in one of the Top Universities in the World
Some of the top universities in Quezon City has been ranked among the top 1000 universities around the world. Some of them are University of the Philippines Diliman and Ateneo de Manila University. I was fortunate to complete my Master’s degree from the University of the Philippines while the sunflowers are in bloom.
10.) Visit Famous Shrines
Some of the famous shrines in the Philippines are found in Quezon City such as The EDSA Shrine and St. Joseph Shrine Diocese of Cuba. The bronze statue in the EDSA Shrine also known as the Queen of Peace is symbolic to the miraculous ousting of the dictatorship in a peaceful and bloodless uprising that is now world renowned as the People Power Revolution of 1986.
