Although you’ll find many contents on our blogs talking about luxury, our first trip to Hong Kong was all about budget restaurants. We were fresh grads on our first visit to Hong Kong and didn’t have huge salaries yet. I’m sure many of you have been to that kind of situation before going BIG. Here are some of the budget restaurants we tried in Hong Kong when we were budget travelers. These restaurants are still open for business.

1.) OUR Restaurant

Location: Witty Commercial Building, Tung Choi St, Mong Kok, Hong Kong

Our first meal in Hong Kong is a turkish dish from OUR Restaurant. It is a combination of grilled chicken, greens, tomatoes, rice and yoghurt. Everytime we visit Hong Kong, we make sure to say hi to Chef Fatih Baydar.

2.) Jollibee

3.) KFC Hong Kong

KFC is different per country. In Hong Kong, we tried a chicken meal with a milk tea.

4.) Pizza Hut Hong Kong

I tried Aglio Oli Pasta with Shrimp and Mango from Pizza Hut.

5.) The Noodle Stand

Location: Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong

This restaurant named The Noodle Stand was just across my hostel when I was a young solo traveler. I spent 3 lunches and dinners in this place.

6.) Tsui Wah Restaurant

Tsui Wah Restaurant is a chain of tea restaurants owned by Tsui Wah Holdings Limited, headquartered in Hong Kong. The restaurants serve Hong Kong-style food. The group has more than 51 branches in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China and Singapore. During breakfast, we tried macaroni soup partnered with milk tea.

7.) The Point (Pizza + Pasta)

Location: G01-02, Park Central, 9 Tong Tak Street, Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong, Hong Kong

After my visit where I even forgot to take a photo of the place, I accessed deliveroo the next day to order one more Aglio Olio Pasta from The Point (Pizza + Pasta).
