Makati Underpasses have caught our attention because of its valuable murals painted by top Filipino artists. Here are the underpasses we have passed by– evoking various colors and positive emotions to pedestrians like us.

It is interpreted as a massive burst of colors that features flora and fauna from various regions of the Philippines. This biodiversity seeks to represent the “dynamism of Makati” as a city that serves as a melting pot different cultures.

2.) Salcedo Underpass Along Ayala Avenue

The Salcedo Underpass Along Ayala Avenue showcases Ang Lakbay ng 105 Milyon by urban artist Archie Geotina. The 105 million represents the population of the Filipinos at the time of its creation. The art depics some of the iconic images of Filipinos over time.

This Mural ‘Art in Defense of Mother Nature’ represents the protection of our country’s unique mega-biodiversity. It is an appeal to Filipinos that we need to conserve, preserve and protect Mother Nature because we all deserve better. Painted by AG Saño (@whaleboy2000) is an internationally renowned and multi-awarded Filipino artivist (artist-activist) who has painted more than 700 murals in 16 countries. He graduated from the University of the Philippines-Diliman College of Architecture and is now a full time advocate for peace and environment who uses art to educate and inspire people to love Mother Nature. He was commissioned by Security Bank to conceptualize an create this artwork.
