Posted by I have always wanted to be a valued guest of the Peninsula Hotel Manila located in the corner of Ayala and Makati Avenues in Makati City, Philippines. We have been trying to wait for promos almost unlikely to this 5-star luxury brand which just got awarded again the coveted Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating- the only hotel in the principal central business districts of Makati and Bonifacio Global City to receive the coveted ranking in the publisher’s annual announcement of the world’s finest luxury hotels. This month, we got the opportunity to finally witness first-hand its glamour without paying anything through the generosity of my brother and his husband.
Here are the Top 5 Memorable Experiences I have with The Peninsula Hotel Manila in Makati City, Philippines!
1.) Delicious Foods
What we were just privileged to try is the food in their The Gallery Club Lounge. We haven’t tried their breakfast buffet nor their famous tea time. Overall though, we enjoyed the curation of food which changes daily. During our stay, we had pizza, cheesy mac, and various finger foods with artistic presentation and tasteful combinations. 2.) Wonderful Customer Service
We were not judged by the hotels’ staffs even though we are not wearing fancy clothes or even if we looked messy with our disheveled hair and oily face or innocent of how to behave posh in a 5-star environment. They really treated us as VIP customers. We even got a pic of one of their employees who served us good drinks, explaining us too well how it was made.
3.) Impressive Architecture and Interior Design
I saw this similar design on luxury cruise ships on movies. The ceiling is so high, a giant may fit in. Stairs, wall carvings, and furniture are creatively intricate. We also love the effect of indoor trees! (Swipe below photo for more pictures)
4.) Wearing their Robe
Wearing their robe with an embroidered The Peninsula Manila gives me much confidence. Hopefully, I can wear the robes of other Peninsula hotels!
5.) Bonding with Loved ones
Luxury will be nothing if it won’t be spent to the people I value the most… FAMILY. I’m most happy that I have had The Peninsula Manila experience with them.
