Anew Ville Garden is one of the newest attractions in Calauan, Laguna, Philippines. The establishment offers activities which are good for your welfare especially during this time of the pandemic.
Although the name ‘Anew Ville Garden’ is very relevant to the activities it offers, it was also named Anew because its proprietor’s name is Wena. When you read Wena in reverse, it will be read as Anew. Thus, Anew Ville Garden.
Here are the 8 Experiences We Love in Anew Ville Garden in Calauan, Laguna, Philippines!
1.) Kawa Bath
It was our first time to bath in a Kawa (in English, a large cooking pan). We have been eyeing to do this Kawa Bath experience either in Rizal or Cavite Province. For years, we haven’t done it due to the travel inconveniences we might have. Good thing, we already have an available Kawa bath establishment in our own province, Laguna.
Under the Kawa is a blackish red burning charcoal transmitting its heat to the waters in the Kawa. Normally, the temperature of the water may reach up to 40 degrees Celsius. The hot water detoxifies your skin while these flowers emit fragrance for your skin.
You can definitely bathe in nude as these Kawas are double-fenced by bamboos. Swipe left for more photos.
2.) Garden Tour
Apart from their dragon fruit and calamansi plantation, they are also culturing a variety of plants such as bonsais, succulents, magic/ miracle fruit, chico, kaffir lime, balimbing, duhat, jackfruit, mango, lychee, cinnamon tree, and santol. It was a nice experience knowing about their scientific names, origins, and health benefits. Swipe left for more photos.
3.) Nipa Hut Tour
I now seldom find Nipa Huts even in provinces. It is a good thing that they constructed this nipa hut for overnight staying guests. It reminds me of my Filipino heritage and the fact that still one of the sustainable houses to build in a tropical climate is a Nipa Hut (Bahay Kubo in Tagalog). Swipe left for more photos.
4.) Glamping
One of the newest inventions in our society- camping with glam. Thus, Glamping. These structures are also good for your instagram photos!
5.) View from their tower
From the second floor, you can just enjoy a bird’s eye view of the farm while a light wind touches your hair. On the third floor, you can enjoy an aerial view while drinking hot tea, coffee or chocolate with your friends.
6.) Feeding of Chickens
We thought that these big fat chickens are good for our Jolibee Chicken Joy! It was our first time to feed a brood of enthusiastic chickens.
7.) Use of Renewable Energy
Kudos to Anew Ville Garden for trying their best in using a sustainable form of energy. We would like to imitate this learning experience in our future haven.
8.) Drinking Calamansi Juice
Before your activities, they will welcome you with a drink freshly picked from their calamansi plantation.
The Kawa bath, garden tour, nipa hut tour, glamping, bird’s eye and aerial view from the tower, feeding of chickens, learnings on renewable energy and drinking calamansi juice are therapeutic activities for our mind, body, and soul. We are Anew. We will visit again Anew Ville Garden. For more details, you may contact them on their facebook page.
