Ever since I was kid, we have been visiting Tagaytay City. Indeed, it is a touristy place for a lot of Filipinos. The proximity of Tagaytay to our province (Laguna) allows my family to visit its beauty almost every weekend. Here are the Top 10 Things To Do in Tagaytay City, Cavite, Philippines!

TRIVIA: The Legend of Tagaytay: In the 1920s, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, who owned land in neighboring Cavite, often rode through Tagaytay on horseback. To him is attributed the creation of the legend of how Tagaytay got its name. The story goes: A Spanish soldier approached a local boy and his father asking about the name of the place. The frightened son shouted to his father, “taga, itay!” which meant “strike, father!” The foreigner, misunderstanding the words, thought that this was what the area was called. The most probable origin of the name is the Tagalog wor “tagaytay” which means ridge.
