Pagsanjan’s town gate was constructed in 1878-1880; then inaugurated in 1894. It is one of the still standing colonial architectures in Laguna.

3.) Sightseeing of Colonial Houses
Pagsanjan became the capital of Laguna from 1688 to 1858, owing to its booming trade and commerce during that time. Its main street was unmatched in its splendour in Laguna during the Spanish Colonial Era.
4.) Casa Marina Staycation
Casa Marina is an ancestral house turned into a boutique hotel. It was named after the grand matriarch of the house- Marina. It is nice to know that they have family and couple suites. We love the antique and sophisticated interior of the house (swipe left for more photos below).

5.) Pray at Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Founded in 1687 originally of bamboo and nipa. Reconstructed on 1690, 1853, 1872, 1950.
6.) Wait for Sunrise/ Sunset in Pagsanjan River through Balanac Bridge
7.) Visit the town’s Municipal Office
Before being called as Municipio de Pagsanjan, it served as a government building for the native-born citizens of the town in the 19th century. There was a different government building for the Mestizos and Spaniards. It also served as the Laguna High School in Laguna from 1903 to 1907. However, the school was transferred to the town of Santa Cruz and is now called Pedro Guevara Memorial National High School.
8.) Visit Pagsanjan Falls

9.) Shop
Check out the steprite shoe shop and CLA Mall. My grandmother worked before in one of the oldest shoe shop in Pagsanjan, Steprite.
