8 Reasons why on Christmas, All Roads Lead Home

Posted by

Why on Christmas, all roads lead home? I have been travelling all-year-round—and  realised I have only been to my hometown this year once- Christmas celebration. So I ask, why on Christmas, all roads lead home? Here are my top 8.

1.) Countryside

Farm is most picturesque during Christmas season. Apart from that, you can hear lovely Christmas songs played by your far-flung neighbours every morning!

2.) Food on the Christmas Table

My mom spends 8 hours to prepare our favourite Christmas foods. I’ll take a picture once she’s done.

3.) Elementary Friends Reunion

Most jobs are in the city. Thus, every Christmas holiday, we make sure that we meet in our hometown.

4.) High School Friends Reunion

We normally rent a resort and catch up on stories.

5.) Simbang Gabi

I barely go to Church. But mass on the eve of Christmas is very beautiful for me. I’ll update this blog with a picture once I’m there.

6.) Christmas Sunrise/ Sunset

With the cold breeze, smell of puto bumbong, continuously played christmas songs everywhere, watching the sunrise/sunset for Christmas in your hometown is inspiring. I’ll update this blog with a picture once done.

7.) PoChot

I wonder how big this puppy right now. This Christmas, I hope she still recognises me.

You know why.
