I was fortunate to be one of the scholars of the Rebelde Film Camp Year 4 and because of it I was able to reignite my love for filmmaking alongside experiencing the beauty of nature in Caramoan Island, Camarines Sur. The three-hour boat ride that took us from Talisay Port to Tugawe Cove Resort was in itself a treat because of the breath taking landscapes and crystal clear sea.

It was thrilling because I was pursuing my passion for the arts and at the same time I felt like I was able to immerse myself in a relaxing environment leaving all the hustle and bustle of the urban life back home. Here are a list of things you could enjoy whilst spending a good time in this lovely paradise:

1.) Take photographs

The journey to the island wasn’t a bore at all. There were endless things that never ceased to amaze me. It’s a joy to capture all these moments because I felt like it was a once in a lifetime chance to witness the gift of nature. I was in complete awe but I managed to snap some photos along the way.

2.) Take a walk around the vicinity

Take your time and breathe a little. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, get a tan or simply enjoy the view. Contemplate about life and its wonderful complexities.

Apart from the sea and good food, Tugawe Cove also has a light house on top of the hill and a deck view you can check out by hiking on your way up. It took a lot of stairs to get there but it was definitely worth it.

3.) Go Kayaking

It was my first time to try kayaking and it sure was fun especially when you do it with a friend.

4.) Camp Out

The resort offers comfortable villas to stay in but if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous feel free to camp out. Just don’t forget to bring a tent or a hammock and feel the cool sea breeze humming you to sleep.
